  • Size: MIN 3x2x1 PER ADULT AXOLOTL.

  • Bedding: Large slate rocks. must by MIN 2x the size of the Axolotl's head to prevent ingestion. (NO sand, clay, small pebbles.)​

​

  • Decor: Hides, caves, rocks, and large aquatic plants are good for tank
    enrichment.

​

  • Note: solid glass aquarium. wider tanks recommended. mesh lid for ventilation. 

    • Run frequent tests on the pH and nitrate levels of water to ensure proper conditions and health of axolotl.

    • pH: 6.5-8.0

    • Nitrate: 0-20ppms

  • Temp & Humidity:

    • 15-20˚C (60-68˚F)

​

  • Cleaning: Water filtration system must be able to handle 2x the amount of
    water in the tank (ex: a 200g filter for a 100g tank). replace water in tank
    weekly. syphon and pump systems are recommended. Filter must also be
    cleaned monthly.
